There comes a point when we all need to learn about the different anti aging products to help with those dreaded wrinkles. Today we will be talking about Katrina, a 27-year-old actress living in LA.
Katrina moved to LA four years ago to become an actress. She hasn’t had her big break yet.
She is a bit older than some of the other “fresh faces” but some of the most famous actors and actresses didn’t even start acting until their thirties or later. She is only 29.
And then one day, she saw it. Her first wrinkle.
Trying Not to Panic
As an actress, Katrina routinely auditions for roles that are not her actual age. Wrinkles are not okay when you’re trying to play a 20-year-old in an advertisement for a Keto diet supplement.
So of course, the first thing Katrina did when she saw her first wrinkle was to panic.
She was worried that her career was over. Or maybe she would be only able to play older characters forever.
So, Katrina started doing research on anti-aging products.
What causes wrinkles?
Yes, of course, age causes wrinkles. But there are also other factors which make you more likely to develop wrinkles.
Sun damage is a huge factor in getting wrinkles. And living in LA, Katrina has probably not been as good as she should be about making sure her skin is protected from the California sun. She will change that now, with the appropriate anti aging products and resolutions.
Smoking and some medications can cause wrinkles. However, these are no problem for Katrina.
Dehydration can also cause wrinkles. The number one enemy to wrinkles is hydrated, healthy skin.
She looked up all the natural remedies that are used as anti-aging products. After all, as an actress who hasn’t become famous yet, she doesn’t have the money for a lot of the more expensive remedies on the market.
First thing she found was that fatty fish are good for your skin. They are great sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, which help your skin keep moisturized.
Avocados are also great for your skin, and they can help prevent sun damage too. Maybe this is part of the reason people are so obsessed with them.
Walnuts give you zinc, vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium, and protein, all of which help your skin. Sunflower seeds are also good for vitamin E.
Sweet potatoes and bell peppers have beta-carotene, which acts as a natural sunblock. Broccoli and tomatoes are also good sources of carotenoids, which protect your skin from sun damage and are supposed to help prevent wrinkling.
Soy, dark chocolate, green tea, and red wine were all also listed as being good for your skin. At least Katrina now has an excuse to have a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate at the end of a long day.
One thing that Katrina didn’t expect was to find out that she had already been using one product that was great at keeping her skin from aging.
She uses NutriXen multi-collagen protein powder in her smoothies and oatmeal already in the morning because it had been recommended to her for weight-loss. And it worked with her Whole30 diet.
People always talk about celebrities using collagen. This is the reason why.
Creams, Serums, and Moisturizers
Of course, the standard way to deal with wrinkles is to get a lotion, moisturizer, or serum to treat it.
There are full aisles in your local drugstore of skin products to help you look younger, or at least keep from getting older. The question is which one is right for your skin.
Serums are thinner than most moisturizers and can be used both morning and night. A serum and a moisturizer can be used together.
Serums are designed to do certain things. Katrina will definitely be looking at the anti-aging serums on the market.
Moisturizers are thicker and meant to hydrate the skin. Some also have anti-aging ingredients.
Night creams are another option. After her research, Katrina decided to start using a night cream, among other anti-aging products.
Night creams not only moisturize the skin, they can boost collagen, prevent your skin from sagging, and restore elasticity. Night creams actually might help reverse some of your skins aging.
Another question is how much to pay for it. As a struggling actress, Katrina can’t afford a lot of the higher-end serums, moisturizers, or night creams. Luckily, many of the products available at the local drug store have many of the same qualities.
Spa time as an Anti Aging Tool
Since she saw the wrinkle on her face, Katrina also considered hitting the spa and getting a facial. And, a cheaper solution is to do this at home.
You can buy a lot of great skin masks which are designed to moisturize your face. After all, healthy, moisturized skin doesn’t get nearly as many wrinkles as dry skin.
There are also a lot of ways to make natural face masks at home. Many of them uses mixes of the same ingredients.
Coconut oil is common in these masks as it is a great moisturizer, and honey also hydrates skin.
Bananas are especially common in these DIY masks due to its high concentrations of vitamins C and E. Egg yolks can nourish and hydrate your skin while also locking in moisture.
Aloe vera is one of the favorite ingredients as it has skin-healing properties. However, aloe vera can dry out your skin on its own, so you need to combine it with something rich in fats, like yogurt or milk cream.
Certain essential oils are often used both for whatever properties they contain and for their soothing fragrance. Lavender is especially common as it relaxes you and reduces inflammation.
Katrina is still freaking out a bit about having a wrinkle. But now she knows what to do to and which anti aging products to use to keep her skin looking young so that hopefully she doesn’t get anymore.
And, the best part, she just landed that job playing a 20-year-old in an advertisement for a Keto diet supplement!
